Urgent Care FAQS

How Can Urgent Care Services Help Me?

Family medicine cares for patients of all ages in a highly-skilled, comfortable and compassionate setting. At Urgent Care TX, Family Practice in Lancaster, TX & Cleburne, TX, specializing in diagnosing and treating those acute and chronic health problems that cannot be ignored. Whether it's pneumonia, a child's asthma symptoms or an older person's diabetes or high blood pressure, you can access premiere and convenient care six days a week, including urgent medical care.

What is urgent care?

First of all, urgent care is not emergency care. For life-threatening issues, such as profuse bleeding, chest pain, or head injuries, go to the nearest hospital ER as soon as possible.

However, if a health concern is pressing, but not life-threatening, Urgent Care TX, Family Practice is the place to go. We're open six days a week from 10 am to 8 pm to treat your urgent health problems which may include:

  • Mild to moderate lacerations
  • High fever, persistent vomiting, diarrhea, dehydration, persistent cough, and congestion
  • Sinus infections
  • Sprains and strains
  • Asthma, hives, rashes, and allergic reactions
  • Insect and animal bites
  • Back pain
  • Urinary tract infections
  • Sore throats
  • Mild to moderate burns
  • Eye problems (irritations, discharge)
  • Ear pain

Frankly, any time you have a question or worrisome health concern, you should contact your physician at Urgent Care TX, Family Practice.

What happens during urgent care

You'll get seen promptly, avoiding the long waits common to emergency room care. Additionally, the doctors at Urgent Care TX, Family Practice will assess your vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, heart rate, and temperature), update your medication and surgical history, assess your symptoms and examine the area where your complaint centers (your swollen and painful ankle, for example).

The Urgent Care Association of America states that urgent care physicians, nurses, physician assistants, and other associated healthcare providers work hard to deliver the best possible patient care. They support and to refer to emergency facilities and primary care physicians, and they coordinate care with other providers as necessary.

Urgent Care TX, Family Practice physicians totally agree with this philosophy. They follow their urgent care patients to ensure immediate interventions for injury and illness and that they receive appropriate treatments in the non-urgent setting (dental office, orthopedic facility, specialist, and others).
